Introducing the new line of Pro Stock Maple and Ash Bats from Meyvn.Only select Sugar Maple is used for our Maple bats. This is the same wood we sell to the Pros!

We use Northern White Ash with straight games for our Pro Stock Ash Bats.

Both our Maple and Ash bats are customizable bat with Full Dip, Half Dip and Two Tone options. Get your bat with your team colors and add your name on the barrel.

Meyvn Baseball Company Player of the Game : Trevor Lawhorn (Sioux Falls)

Two members of the Sioux Falls Canaries paced the North Division’s offense and helped the visitors claim a 6-2 win over the South Division in the American Association’s All-Star Game. RF Cory Harris tripled in the first inning to give the North a 2-0 lead before 3B Trevor Lawhorn (pictured) snapped a 2-2 tie with a two-run single in the top of the sixth. Lawhorn finished 2-for-4 and was named the Meyvn Baseball Company Player of the Game. The South was only able to muster four hits against the North’s steady parade of quality pitchers. The North used all eight hurlers on their roster with only starter Brandon Kintzler working more than one inning. The South hitters generated just one base runner in their final 16 at bats in the contest. Wichita’s Derek Blacksher pitched the fifth inning, struck out two, and was the winner. The top of the sixth inning was decisive as the North used five hits to score four times off Grand Prairie’s Kieran Mattison, who took the loss.

Grand Prairie, TX – One hour prior to the Sioux Falls Canaries first-half finale against the Grand Prairie AirHogs, the club got word that they would be without their closer. Kris Regas, who is 2-0 with a 1.19 ERA and an American Association best 15 saves, has been purchased by the Detroit Tigers organization.

“We are thrilled that Kris is going to be getting another opportunity with the Tigers,” said Canaries Manager Steve Shirley. “His dedication and commitment to his dream has paid off with great success with the Canaries for the last two years, and it is time for him to take that success to the next level.”

Regas, who was in spring training with the Tigers this year, was just recently named the American Association June pitcher of the month. In June, Regas was 1-0 with 11 saves and a 0.60 ERA.

In two years as the Canaries closer, Regas has converted 45 of 47 save attempts, while the Canaries are 47-0 in games where Regas has come on to close. During two and a half seasons with the Canaries, Regas pitched in 95 games, going 5-2 with 45 saves, throwing 108.0 innings, allowing 22 runs, 16 earned, on 76 hits and 26 walks while striking out 149 opposing hitters. He was twice selected to the American Association All-Star Team, and was named the 2008 Star of Stars by PA-Sportsticker, the official statistician of the American Association.

The Canaries will wrap-up the first half tonight in Grand Prairie, before returning home for a 7:05 p.m. game against the Fort Worth Cats on Tuesday night. The game, which will mark the beginning of the second half, will feature a “Fly Away Giveaway” presented by Allegiant Air.

Wichita OF Hit .481; Sioux Falls Closer Collected 11 Saves

DURHAM, NC – The official statistician of the American Association, PA-Sportsticker, has selected Wichita Wingnuts OF Greg Porter and Sioux Falls LHP Kris Regas as the Meyvn Baseball Company Batter and Pitcher of the Month for June.

In 27 games, Porter batted .481 with six home runs, 21 RBI, 23 runs scored and a stolen base. He collected 50 hits, including 11 doubles and a triple, slugged .779 and had an on-base percentage of .571. Currently on the season, Porter is hitting .391 with seven home runs and 32 RBI. He leads the American Association in batting average, hits (66) and slugging (.598) and second in on-base percentage (.488).

The 28-year-old Porter has been named the Batter of the Week twice this season. The Roanoke, VA resident is currently riding a 19-game hitting streak.

Regas made 12 appearances in June going 1-0 with a 0.60 ERA and 11 saves. In 15 innings pitched, the southpaw allowed four hits, one earned run and five walks while striking out 19 batters. The 29-year-old is 2-0 on the season with a 1.25 ERA in 18 appearances. He is tied for the league lead in saves with 14.
